PM's US kiss

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh seems to be enjoying being the first official state guest of US President Barack Obama. However, he has conveniently forgotten the way the US president had sought Chinese help in maintaining peace in South Asia (sic).
The inicident happened just days ahead of the PMs visit to the US. Is the PM planning to raise these strategic concerns with the US? It doesn't seem so as there are no plans to discuss the threats being faced by India from China, Pakistan or militancy being sponsored by these nations.
The US keenness to involve China in the politics of South Asia has changed the entire strategic percention in the government circles as the MEA mandarins have again proven their inefficiency in diplomatic skills. Though China had been covertly maintaing a heavy strategic presence in the region, this recent US go-ahead will only emboldne it and make things more difficult for India.

Congress is King

The Congress strategists have again proven that they are unbeatable at creating a political storm out of nowhere. The controversy over Liberhan commission report's alleged leakage has completely diverted the attention of the media and the masses.
An irrelevant issue has again been put forth before everyone to forget every hardship that the common man was lamenting about a few days ago. The master strategists of Congress have also pushed the BJP to the brink, a party which is already facing a battle for its own survival. Congress is the real and only Chanakya of Indian politics and a virtual lack of opposition means that they will continue to rule the country for decades ahead.
The timing of the leak is worth pondering over though........

Mumbai Cop revelations

The Mumbai top cop during 26/11 attacks has revealed in an interview with a weekly magazine revealed the callous and unprofessional attitude of the policemen who are responsible in thwarting such militant attacks.

Excerpts from the article.................

Some of the top Mumbai police officers have been accused by their former boss of dithering from "responding to the situation" during the 26/11 attacks. Gafoor Hasan, the then Mumbai Police Commissioner, said, "a section of senior police officers refused to be on the ground and
take on the terrorists. By doing so, they chose to ignore the need of the hour."
Hasan alleged that "I told you there were a handful. For example, K L Prasad refused to come to the Trident and decided against hitting the roads. Devena Bharti, K Venkatesham and Karambhir Singh did not appear keen on responding to the situation as it kept dawning on us."
Prasad was then the Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) while Bharti was the Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime). Venkatesham was the Additional Commissioner of Police (South Region) and Singh was the Additional Commissioner of Police (Anti-Terrorism Squad). "Yes, there was dearth of eagerness on the part of a handful of senior officers to be on the ground during those days," said Gafoor.
Asked how he felt when let down by his own men and if there was a bigger embarrassment, Gafoor said "yes there was, indeed. On November 28, I attended a meeting with the DGP and Home Minister. I was told to withdraw the NSG and instead use the Mumbai police
for the ongoing operations."
"The DGP told me that the entire world was watching us and so we should put an immediate end to the siege and help defuse the crisis. This sounded ridiculous, as the NSG is an elite force that can tackle such crisis situation. I said it was even preposterous to even think of taking off the NSG," he stated.
"The first thing on my mind was, of course, to liquidate the terrorists or to restrict and compel them to a corner and then cordon off the targeted area -- all this to engineer the safe evacuation
of the people trapped inside," Gafoor said.
"Without the NSG it would not have been possible to even map the terrorists' movement inside
those built-up areas, let alone take them head on and overpower them ultimately," he stated.

What does the interview mean? What is the truth behind the 26/11 attacks? What else is being hidden? What is the action, if any, taken against the officers being accused of inaction?

Mumbai truth....

What is the truth behind the Mumbai attacks? Ever wondered why the FBI was needed to bring out the truth? What do the investigating agencies have to hide?

On November 17 Kavita Karkare, the wife of former Maharashtra Anti Terror Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare who was slain in the 26/11 attacks, questioned the state government on why her husband and two other senior officials who were killed on 26/11, did not get reinforcements on time.
The slain officer's family has alleged that the officers did not get the back up when it was required. The investigative agencies have all along claimed that Karkare, along with Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ashok Kamte and Inspector Vijay Salaskar were killed by terrorists near Cama Hospital in Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus during the Mumbai siege.

Kavita's quotes from the press conference:
"I just didn't know anything in the initial six months, politicians, media people and other people were coming to my place, but I was not aware what exactly was going around. Nobody has ever told me that what exactly happened that day. No senior officers have told me till date what had happened with my husband. I have just gathered information from media people, or read in magazines and newspapers, till date I don't know the exact facts of that day."
"But when politicians started raising questions saying that he acted in very hasty manner and went for the operation blindly then we started gathering facts about the incident. Then, we came to know that Kamte, Karkare, Salaskar were planning strategy in Cama hospital for 40 minutes. They had asked for help, but they couldn't get help in those 40 minutes. Why they could not get help in 40 minutes, nobody is giving me that answer?"

Kavita also alleged that she has been told by some police officers that it would not be possible for her to get to know what exactly happened with her husband during the terror attacks. She also alleged that Hemant Karkare was left injured and unattended for over 40 minutes and not taken to the hospital on time.

"My question is that when these people were there in Cama Lane for 40 minutes, why were they not given any help? And, when there bodies were lying, why the bodies of those people were not picked for about 40 minutes," Kavita questioned. Earlier last week, Kavita also alleged that her husband's bulletproof jacket has gone missing.
She claimed that even the Right to Information application had not yielded any information on its whereabouts when his body was found, the bulletproof jacket was missing.

Finally FBI gives us the truth

For how long will our agencies continue to lie to us. Finally the FBI has found out the truth which I had been suspecting all along. That there was a detailed plan, a recee mission, local help and others in the city to help terrorist. I hope that this is just the beginning.........

please read the following news agency copy

Canadian Pakistani Tahawar Hussain Rana, arrested by the FBI for planning terror strikes in
India along with American national David Headley, was in Mumbai five
days prior to the Lashker-e-Taiba attacks there on November 26 last year.
This has emerged as the Indian investigators continue to trace
the movements of both men, now under detention in Chicago in the US.
Highly-placed sources said that 49-year-old Rana had stayed
in a guest house in South Mumbai till November 21 before flying off
to a European destination on way back to Canada.
The sources said this has raised suspicion that he may have
given final touches to the audacious Mumbai terror strikes five days
later that left 183 people dead including some of the American and
British nationals.
The Headley trail also took a new turn with reports of contacts
between Headley and Mahesh Bhatt's son Rahul but the noted film maker
dismissed the possibility of his son involved in any terror activities.
Mahesh Bhatt said it was his family which had decided to break
the information to Mumbai Police about 15-20 days ago on Rahul's
contacts with the US terror suspect.
Investigators also found that the Headley stayed in two
hotels in Delhi's Paharganj, a favourite of budget travellers from abroad.
They are also poring into details whether Headley had any role
in various blasts that had taken place in the country between 2006 and 2008.
The operatives of National Investigation Agency (NIA), which
had registered a case on Wednesday against Headley, are looking into
the possibility of whether the US national of Pakistani origin had
any plans for carrying out multiple blasts in multiple cities.
Headley was arrested by FBI a few months ago for suspected
links with LeT along with his Canadian associate Tahawwur Hussain Rana.
The NIA and Delhi Police officials today visited the two hotels
where Headley had stayed in Delhi and also recovered his passport details.
Official sources said that Headley had stayed for a total of
over 12 months during his multiple visits to India. Details have
emerged of telephone calls made to several foreign countries, including
Pakistan.
Sources said investigators may go to Abu Dhabi to find out Headley's
possible links there because of his arrival from that country on
an occasion and calls made by him to people there.
Investigators were also going through a flood of details
that include Headley's calls made from several mobile phones he had
and to look for clues from the passenger details of Railways and
inter-state bus terminals to find out the cities Headley may have visited.
According to the passport details of Headley, he had visited
the national capital and Mumbai during April last year. He had then
left for Pakistan.
Sources said Rana had visited once on his own passport but travelled
extensively across India. Investigators are also looking into whether
Rana had travelled into India by using some other names and passports.
They said Central security agencies are also investigating Headley's
suspected links to terror outfit Indian Mujhaideen, which had carried
out a series of bomb attacks across the country, including in Rajasthan
and Delhi, that left over 170 people dead.
Sources said Headley had stayed in Taj Hotel in Mumbai, one
of the terror targets last November, and had also tried to hire a
house for stay in the city.
As reports of his son's contacts with Headley surfaced, Mahesh
Bhatt told reporters that Rahul was shocked when he saw Headley's
photograph in TV channels and that he was part of a terror network.
