Indian insensitivity & chauvinism

Indians need to be proud that a glorious religion or way of life like Buddhism originated from our country. We are the possessors of the rich cultural and religious legacy of this religion which was founded by the Buddha.
The thousands of years old religion is, however, not being treated properly by our country. At a recent visit to the National Museum I was shocked to see that Buddhists from several countries were offering their respects and performing religious rituals in the room where Buddha's mortal remains have been kept.
This incident make me realise that Indians have been indulging in chauvinism against the Buddhist countries and the Buddha himself. The religion once held sway across the country and major part of Asian continent. However, it was replaced by the brahminical religion sometimes also known as Hinduism.
The religious monks from other nations have to perform their rituals in the presence of policemen, wielding weapons and also under surveillance of CCTV cameras.
By not allowing a decent resting place or proper area wherein Buddha's ashes and remains are kept the dominant religion which had overtaken Buddhism can continued to express its chauvinism. The Indian government's stinginess or apathy regarding the issue is also revealed by the fact that the pavilion in which the remains of the Buddha are kept is also donated by the Thai king Bhumipol Adulyadej.
it is a matter of great concern and shame that our country fails to acknowledge the contribution made by the Buddha to its rich cultural heritage. Are we better than Taliban in this context who had demolished the Bamiyan Buddhas'? They were removing the physical being of Buddha holding sway of the population of that region several millennia age, while we are indulging in intellectual and psychological double speak.

Why we need to support Kanwarias

Perceptions change over time. After viewing the open taunts of minorities, both Sikhs and Muslims during Guru parabs and Ramzaan, it is necessary to flaunt the Hindu part of India. The kanwarias have been pretty bad on roads. In fact, more openly violent and aggressive than their minorityrelatives.
But I feel that this is a necessary part of evil that Hindus should learn to live with. These base ball bat wielding Shiva devotees....who often ride motorbikes with nothing more than undies on are required to make this annual trip for the simple reason that their presence is needed.
They pass through heavily populated Muslim dominated areas of western Uttar Pradesh. It is nothing but a show of strength. And the conspiracy angle here is that it serves the purpose of every political party on the Indian political scene.

The Foreign Hand

Yeah the government got  this right. There is definitely a foreign hand. An Italian one to be precise.
What is ridiculous is the fact that if the government is so sure about the foreign hand why doesn't it do something to stop it. It there is a bomb blast there is foreign hand, if there are riots there is foreign hand, if there are some posts on internet the same reason is given. Maybe the government needs to find a new excuse before it goes on blindly propounding the foreign hand theory.

BJP blues

Advaniji's frustration may just be a facade. The conspiracy theories doing the rounds in the political party are that he has teamed up with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for a Vajpayee-Adavisuqe act. While at the same time the duo also wants to cut other senior leaders in the party to size.
Modi is likely to turn up in Central politics after securing Gujarat for his party again. Lets see how this conspiracy takes shape.

Aircel-Maxis Rajya Sabha coverup

The government today successfully covered up the Aircel Maxis deal by stalling the statement of Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee. And this was done with the help of its partner DMK. The government allowed its ally to dictate to the House and stalled proceeding twice and later on adjourned it sine die.
The working of the House made it clear that there was a clear conspiracy to not allow Pranab to make a statement on the contentious issue. And they were successful at it.

Shahrukh stadium drama

It is understood that the spot fixing scandal was taking up too much time during peak IPL season. Hence this incident wherein the biggest movie star goes to bash up some lowly security guards at a stadium.
Seems like someone is preparing s script to save cricket's biggest tournament.

Truth behind MCD poll results

The BJP should not cry itself hoarse and think that it has won the MCD polls. The entire loss of the civic polls is nothing but the game plan of the master strategist Delhi Chief minister Sheila Dikshit. It is understood that the CM wanted the Congress to lose the MCD polls so that there is no second rung leadership to challenge her authority in the national capital.
She has already had a bad experience with Ram Babu Sharma, and she doesn't want arepeat of that exercise. It is for nothing that she has continued to rule on this city for almost three terms now.
If the BJP thinks that it has won the MCD polls, it is nothing but a moronic idea which it should get out of its head and concentrate on trying to win the coming Assembly polls next year. the Chief Minister had done a similar thing during the last MCD polls and Assembly polls. And she is entirely capable of repeating it.
This exercise will also ensure that Dikshit will be able to preserve the constituency for her son Sandeep Dikshit. Who is as efficient as his master Rahul Gandhi and needs everything on a platter from his mommy. Just like his leader.
