Bomb scare

Our Ministers and policemen are really good at acting. Now see how they are reacting to the fussi bomb that went out yesterday.... Why such hue and cry over it I can't understand.
The so called bomb that went off in front of the Delhi High Court, ruined a lawyer's car a bit, causing nothing else. What was the motive....nothing. Just to check police security preparedness and send a alert throughout the country after what has been happening across the border.

Lets not try to foll ourselves. Though we already know that out citizens can be termed naive.

Land politics

Everyone knew that land was the biggest asset that the political class were after. The biggest bureaucrat of them all....our own Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has done another one of his acts. The Prime Minister's relief fund will now be utilised for giving compnesation to farmers who were the alleged victims of police atrocities committed in Bhatta Parsaul villages in Greater Noida.
MMS's servile attitude to the Congress' middle aged yuvraj's attampts at entering Uttar Pradesh politics has been evident by this act. The fund meant for utilisation in cases of natural and man-made calamities of extreme nature is being utilised for the frivolous gains of out would be Prime Minister.
The attempts by the Congress to turn Rahul Gandhi into a political leader seem to be succeeding.... Or does UP chief Minister Mayawati have a counter attack planned.

Attack Communists

Home Minister P Chidambaram seems to be in a hurry to target the recently ousted Communists in West Bengal. With its ally Trinamool Congress setting up government in the state the Minister has gone ahead and announced today that there has been a recovery of several hundred arms and ammunition. That too, he added, from CPI-M officers or cadres.
The Minister's new-found zeal to bring law and order, still a state subject, under the direct purview of the Centre is astonishing. He was the Minister when the Communists were in power, why didn't he then proclaim that the communist cadres were running a training camp there? Weren't his intelligence agencies well informed as they always are?

Bharadwaj gameplan

Political conspiracy theorists in the capital say that it seems that Karnataka Governor HR Bharadwaj not lost his love for a Central posting. The governor has been fomenting trouble for the government of BS Yeddyurappa.
It has been pointed out that the much-awaited cabinet expansion is on the cards and the latest move by the Governor is too closely timed with the expected exercise. It seems that Bharadwaj is bent on establishing and reiterating his credentials as a close confidante of the Congress high command ahead of the cabinet expansion. The governor, it seems, is hoping for a Central posting again.
The governor's actions, however, may not find any takers in the Centre as Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi have decided to give the former law minister adequate rest away from the national capital.

Bharadwaj the real Congressman

Karnataka Governor HR Bharadwaj is a real Congressman. He is still living in the era when Congress didn't think of anything. Not even democracy.
His actions speak volumes of the government's intent and thinking after the recent Assembly poll gains. The former Union Law Minister may have recommended the dismissal of BJP-led government of BS Yeddyurappa but is there a wider game plan by the government. The Congress may again be headed towards the authoritarian ways which it followed till a few years ago.
Bharadwaj's actions have once again made case for doing away with the unconstitutional post of governor. The post was a creation by the British government and an irrelevant position in today's federal democratic system that our country is trying to follow. It is time that such Governors and these posts are done away with. Forever.

Assam result

The Congress win in Assam Assembly elections for the third time in a row is being hailed by everyone. It is fine that Tarun Gogoi has been elected again. But the bigger picture is being missed here.
The Asom Gana Parishad, till now the main opposition party in the state and which was also blamed for its closeness with the extremist elements, has been reduced to third place.
This is a shock as the second place has been secured by All India Democratic United Front. This is a party which is considered to represent the cause of the Muslims in the state. That too the Muslims which seemingly have sympathies in the erstwhile East Bengal.
This Assembly election has proved what had been conspiring for so long. The Congress has been able to break the back of the AGP by systematic and mass demographic change in the state.
The local political leaders had stated this for a fact for several years but in this election the truth has finally been revealed.

What's the reason for low gas production at its Krishna-Godavari basin gas fields?
Has it something to do with the low gas pricing which are currently prevailing.... It seems so.
It is being predicted that gas production will increase once the rates rise.
Lets see if this prediction comes true.

Land riots

For the last two days there have been running riots between police forces and the local farmers demanding more compensation for their land in Greater Noida. The clashes have also caused the deaths of several persons.
The violence it seems is being fuelled by certain political elements who want to gain in the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly polls scheduled for next year. The speed with which these riots are spreading to the rest of western Uttar Pradesh clearly elicits that there is a ;larger political conspiracy behind the events. A few political parties are trying to destabilise the Mayawati government. Lets see how far they succeed.

Khandu accident

Not everything seems right with another Chief Minister's death in a helicopter crash. How come so many of our Chief Ministers are dying in such crashes? This may be the only country where helicopters carrying VVIPs are crashing so often.
There is a need to check on these. Why did Arunachal Pradesh CM Dorjee Khandu's chopper crash? There may be reasons but they won't be revealed. It is too soon for comfort after Andhra Chief Minister YSR Reddy's similar fate.

Osama killed

The biggest news break this century: Osama bin Laden has been killed.
The dreaded terrorist wanted by the US has finally been killed by its special forces inside Pakistani territory. And it seems that the dreaded terrorist was on the guest list of Pakistani powers.
The rogue (one time) CIA operative was killed in Abbotabad at a mansion that is believed to be guarded by the Pakistan's ISI. It seems highly improbable that the Pakistan government or intelligence weren't aware of Osama's presence in their midst.
The US on its part has also maintained that it didn't share the intelligence of Osama's location with any country. A clear indication that they don't trust Pakistani dispensation.

PS - A word of caution now for India. The country now needs to prepare itself for any retaliatory attacks by the Osama fraternity. If we can't act like the US we should at least prevent any attacks.
